Okay, here goes…I’m a 21 year old male who’ve had a severe case of PLMD for the past 4 years. I mean, hell, I didn’t even had a decent night’s sleep for nearly 4 years ago where right now I’m at the point of complete exhaustion and I can’t function right in society anymore. My gpa at college went down cuz I can’t function in school anymore, and I’m losing pals cuz of this stupid disorder, it’s literally ruining my life. During the night, my chest, head, arms, legs, or foot w.e., jerks and thrash vioently EVERY time I ready to sleep, thus preventing me from sleeping. This never occurs when Im awake, ONLY when I’m asleep. Why is my body performing this to me? I went to the doc and asked if there were any treatments, he said no sorry you need to live it. This pisses me off. I’m actually screwed up mentally because of this. I am considering suicide for the reason that I cannot keept on living my life like this. I tried taking alcohol or sleeping pills where I can relax and drift off to sleep but no, it only m akes my jerks even much more violently where I truly hurt myself. 1 time my head jerked so violently, It fractured a disc in my neck. Now I’m scared to go to sleep, due to the fact I don’t want to wake up the next morning paralyzed from the neck down. I don’t know what to do. Please help, and this is serious answers so no half-assed jokes or stupid answers.
